Our first design/build project in 1999, in collaboration with the well researched owners. Heavily influenced by the owner’s environmental awareness, it was designed to be as ecologically sustainable and energy efficient as possible. 

In the first two years the owners had no blinds and found that the passive solar design allowed for very moderate temperatures in an area that experienced frosts and mid 40-degree days. 

Material choice was paramount as was applying water harvesting, composting toilets & waste-water technologies to ensure a small ecological footprint.
