The conversion of a very small 96m2 house into a modest 170m2 dual winged house built around a courtyard. 

The key to the project was to enable solar gain through efficient use of fenestration, simultaneously with increasing privacy on a beachside block, which is overshadowed and overlooked by all the neighbouring properties. 

Although modest in size, detail abounds, applying quality, long-living materials in unique ways to gain a sense of sitting lightly on the earth. Rammed earth feature walls strongly anchor the dwelling to the dunes that feature locally.
