Design: ISD Architects

Our first collaboration with Ian. Designed to be solar efficient in a very challenging site. Shadowed to the north by a hill, and built lightly onto the site, which was the original quarry stockpile for local breakwaters. 

Detailed with timber joinery and the owner’s art collection, the house is rich in character in a unique site that has been re-established with great gardens and landscaping. 

Current works to create a pond and hardwood pathway reflect the bush and waterways that naturally appear after the rains.
